On July 8, the highly anticipated mobile phone from Nothing's sub-brand, CMF phone1 (Colour Material Finish), was launched. This unique mobile features a customizable design and is priced under 20,000rs. It offers replaceable cases in different colors, though the prices may be a bit high for Indian consumers. 2 variants are available - one with 6GB RAM (15,999)and 128GB storage. (17,999), and another with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, each with a different price point. Nothing is introducing innovative mobiles at competitive prices. Notably, the charger is not included in the box and needs to be purchased separately, which could be inconvenient for users. However, the company does include additional items such as a strap and kickstand in the box.
The phone boasts a 5000 mAh battery and an AMOLED 120Hzdisplay, powered by Mediatek Dimensity 7300 (4nm). It features a dual camera setup with a 50MP wide camera and a 2MP depth camera, supporting 4k 30fps video recording. Notably, 4k recording is limited to the main camera, and the selfie camera supports 1080p@30/60fps gyro-EIS. The mobile provides a clean UI with minimal bloatware, though some pre-installed apps cannot be uninstalled. It does not include a 3.5mm jack but offers features like an in-display fingerprint, accelerometer, proximity sensor, and compass. The mobile case is available in four colors: black, orange, and light green. Additionally, earbuds and smartwatches have also been launched alongside the mobile. The key highlight of the mobile is the ability to replace the back of the phone. It remains to be seen whether the mobile can compete in the market by offering special features.
